History of the brewery Zlatá kráva

The golden cow was born at the end of 2018. She was born by two families - Sochor and Sladke. The original brewery was built by farmers who, not only because of their love for beer, but also because of their long-standing involvement in gastronomy, decided to restore the charm of the local, almost forgotten brewery in Nepomuk.

The building of the Zlatá kráva brewery has its roots in the second half of the 19th century, where the Turks' Brewery originally stood on the site. In 1938, the building even served as a bottling plant for the Pilsner brewery. The dilapidated building was purchased from the original owner Ferdinand Jiskra, who at the age of 84 oversaw the first batch of Zlatá krav beer brewed. The semi-dark 13 Jiskra is now brewed in his honour.

The brewery brews bottom-fermented and top-fermented beers from quality ingredients, but the repertoire is also enriched with beer specials - all under the supervision of brewer Žaneta Petružálková. The assortment is growing, the base of our beer fans is growing, and our love for beer has given way to another step forward - the Beer Hotel is a new base that fits into the concept of the Golden Cow and enhances the experience of our beers.
